Rustic Iron Drawer Pulls – Drawer pulls (also called only pulls) are the knob-like handles that are adjusted into the piece of the drawer facing the front and are used to pull the drawer from a piece of furniture (a torso, for example).
The pulls are basically attached to drawers to make it easier to pull out the drawers. In these cases, however, these knobs are replaced by grooves at the bottom border of the drawers that may be used to place the fingers and to pull the drawers out. From time to time, these grooves are made at the middle of the front piece of the drawer. Whether there’s a pull at the middle of the front piece of the drawer or at the bottom border is dependent upon how the designer of the piece of furniture thinks it would fit it aesthetically.
Drawer pulls are made of plastic, metal or wood, based upon the fabric of the furniture it is being used in. Besides, it also is based upon the design of their furniture, and the related manufacturing costs. Wooden and metal brings are often costlier compared to plastic ones.
Drawers can carry either one or two pulls. The number of knobs at a drawer depends upon the horizontal dimensions of the drawer. If the drawer is too big for a single pull, then it might have two pulls to make it easier to pull out the drawer. Lengthwise smaller drawers usually carry a single pull.
Some drawer pulls have a designed plate to which a handle is repaired, while this is not a general rule. The plate is connected to the front piece of the jar, along with a handle is attached at a way to the plate so that it can either swing from one or two points on the plate to create a drop drawer pull. Such handles are known as drop handles or swing grips. The grips may also be connected to the plates with fasteners in this manner so that they eventually become immovable. Typically, the plates to which the handles are fixed are embellished with piercings, embossing and stones. The grips could be ring-shaped, rectangular, or cut in even or irregular shapes, based on the design the designer would like to put.
