  • More than a year: Get rid of this clutter! If it has been over a year there shouldn’t be any reason to keep it.
  • Almost 1 year: You should probably consider getting rid of whatever it is – but you may want to keep it if it’s used for vacations. These items can be safely moved out of the “active” part of your kitchen and saved someplace more long term if only used yearly.
  • 6 months: Again, you probably need to look at getting rid of these items unless there is some recurring date which happens a few times a year.
  • 1 month: These items will need to be looked at for a decision to be made. Some of these items might also need to be lost.
  • 1 day to 1 week: These items make up the very significant part your kitchen and ought to be set in the drawers simplest to get and closest to where they’re used. These are the items like silverware, salt & pepper, mixers, etc..

If you do not own a spice rack, or do not need to take up space in your own kitchen surfaces, you can save you spices in a drawer. A good idea would be to take a look at what is in the drawer as you go to put something in it and apply the time rule which was discussed previously. If something hasn’t been utilized in a long time do yourself a favor and toss it! Are there many duplicates in the Shop? Eliminate some of them! Maintaining this drawer manageable will make it more handy and useful whilst preventing it from turning into a centre for clutter.
